V is for Versatile: 3 New Ways to Hook Audiences with Vyond  |  REGISTER NOW

October product update: New clear scene functionality, higher quality MP4 uploads, and more

New Clear Scene functionality

You can now clear all the contents in a scene while retaining scene duration with the new clear function. There are three ways to clear objects from a scene.

Option 1: Top bar

Option 2: Keyboard shortcuts: Ctrl or command + delete

Option 3: Right click on the stage to trigger the context menu and select the clear option.

Higher Quality 1080p Videos

We have upgraded the bitrate for the 1080p resolution videos from 1.5Mbps to 8Mbps, increasing the quality of exported 1080p videos. This quality enhancement will be most noticeable when your video uses uploaded 1080p MP4s.

What is Bitrate?

Bitrate determines the size and quality of video and audio files. The higher the bitrate, the better the quality.

Change Head Facing Direction in All Styles

You can now change the direction that heads face in all styles — Business Friendly, Whiteboard, and Contemporary — in the Expressions panel. With this change, it’s even easier to represent different points of view and make your characters even more lifelike.

Retiring the Legacy Video Maker and Pause Users Feature

In December of 2019, Vyond will retire the Legacy Video Maker. The first phase of this process took place on August 14, 2019, when all user accounts defaulted to Vyond Studio. All legacy videos will continue to be available for migration to Vyond Studio after the Legacy Video Maker is retired.

As part of the Legacy Video Maker’s retirement, we will also be retiring the Pause Users feature, as it is incompatible with Vyond Studio. In the short-term, the Pause Users feature will be replaced by two new features: the ability to deactivate users and the ability to transfer content from one user’s account to another. This will ensure that any currently paused user’s data is not lost.

In the longer-term, we will be releasing an all-new Admin Panel in 2020, which will have many new features that streamline user management:

  • User Groups – Assign users on your team to groups and give them the ability to share videos and assets within those groups.
  • Additional User Roles – New user roles will allow admins to more effectively classify your team into functional user roles, allow or restrict the use of individual features, and more.
  • Activity Logs – Administrators will be able to track activity across their team, including things like last login, last shared video, last created video, and more.
