During Tanium’s annual user conference, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Matt Quinn delivered an in-person keynote presentation to customers, prospects, and partners on a timely and important topic: Tanium’s strategic approach to autonomous AI features and the company’s commitment to safety.
Tanium’s enablement team saw that, for maximum effect, Matt’s presentation and core messages had to reach beyond the conference. They wanted to distill the message down to its key components and repackage it in an engaging way. Doing so would allow Tanium’s sales, marketing, and education teams to bring the content to a much broader audience, across multiple channels.
Vice President of Enablement Stefanie Coburn was familiar with the Vyond content that Director of Training Development Chaya Rao’s team had been creating for Tanium’s customer education programs. She approached Chaya about creating a video version of Matt’s keynote.
Chaya and her team set to work creating an abridged, two-minute Vyond version of Matt’s core messages from the keynote.
Given Matt’s limited availability, and to create flexibility for future content edits, the team used Vyond’s Photo-to-Character feature to create an animated character version of Matt to deliver his talking points. They also used text to speech and a WellSaid AI voice with an Australian accent to mirror Matt’s own, Chaya said. (Matt remarked that his animated character turned out like “a polished version of himself” — and even got the voice right!)
To visualize some of the technical aspects of Matt’s messaging, the team incorporated Tanium’s own imagery as well as Shutterstock photos and video clips.
With Vyond, the team easily converted a key message from an 80-minute live presentation into a short, engaging video that Tanium’s marketing, sales, and training and partner enablement teams use to educate audiences, anytime, anywhere. It’ll also become part of a new course on Tanium’s autonomous features.
